Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about our pricing model
How is usage calculated?
Usage is calculated based on three main factors: the number of active users, the total number of tasks executed, and the number of environments you maintain. Users are billed based on the maximum number of users in a month, tasks are counted per execution, and each environment beyond your first production environment incurs a monthly charge.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
For the Free plan, you'll need to upgrade once you reach the 5,000 task limit. For all paid plans, there are no hard limits - you'll simply pay the per-use rates for additional usage. Your automations will continue running, but you'll need to upgrade your license before accessing the management interface.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Plan changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated based on your usage. When upgrading, you'll immediately get access to the new plan's benefits. When downgrading, changes apply at your next billing cycle.
What's included in the different support plans?
Community:
Access to documentation, community forums, and basic email support.
Silver:
Priority email support with faster response times and enhanced documentation.
Gold:
Phone support, dedicated support representative, and priority support commitments.
Platinum:
24/7 priority support, dedicated account management, and custom integration assistance.
Enterprise:
White-glove support with dedicated technical specialists and custom training.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes! All new accounts start with our Free plan that includes the Setup Stage Promotion, giving you access to 5,000 tasks at no cost. This allows you to fully test our platform and build your first automations before committing to a paid plan.
How do you handle billing and invoicing?
Billing is handled monthly in arrears based on your actual usage. You'll receive detailed invoices showing your subscription cost plus usage-based charges. We accept all major credit cards and provide automatic payment processing. Enterprise customers can arrange for custom billing terms and purchase orders.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your automations will continue running even after cancellation, but you won't be able to access the management interface without upgrading your license. We provide a grace period for data export, and you can reactivate your account at any time. For Enterprise customers, we offer extended data retention and migration assistance.
Do you offer discounts for annual payments or nonprofits?
Yes, we offer significant discounts for annual subscriptions across all paid plans. Nonprofit organizations and educational institutions may qualify for special pricing - please contact our sales team for more information. We also provide volume discounts for large enterprise deployments.

What is a User?
A user is any individual who accesses your Interactor workspace to create, manage, or monitor automations. This includes team members, administrators, and any person with login credentials to your account.
What is a Task?
A task is a single execution of an automation workflow. Each time your automation runs (triggered by events, schedules, or API calls), it counts as one task execution regardless of the number of steps within the workflow.
What is a Connector?
A connector is an integration point that allows Interactor to communicate with external services and applications (like Slack, Google Sheets, Salesforce, etc.). Each unique service connection counts as one connector.
What is an Environment?
An environment is a separate workspace for your automations, typically used for development, staging, and production deployments. This allows you to test automations safely before deploying them to production.
Usage Examples
Small Business (Pay-per-use Plan)
5,000 users, 200,000 monthly tasks, 3 connectors, 1 environment
Monthly cost: $1 base + $1,000 (5,000 users × $0.20) + $0 (tasks included) + $30 (2 additional connectors × $15) + $0 (environment included) = $1,031
Growing Team (Startup Plan)
12,000 users, 800,000 monthly tasks, 8 connectors, 3 environments
Monthly cost: $1,000 base + $1,075 (10,750 additional users × $0.10) + $0 (tasks included) + $45 (3 additional connectors × $15) + $200 (2 additional environments × $100) = $2,320
Enterprise Scale (Growth Plan)
80,000 users, 10 million monthly tasks, 25 connectors, 8 environments
Monthly cost: $5,000 base + $3,650 (73,000 additional users × $0.05) + $0 (tasks included) + $150 (10 additional connectors × $15) + $100 (1 additional environment × $100) = $8,900
